Position Summary 

This role is a part-time position providing administration support to the Works Department, as well as an allocation of support to the Shire's Ranger Services team.

  • Developing knowledge of Council’s organisations structure and function;
  • Confidence with working with animals. 

Successful applicants will be required to undertake, police clearances and medical prior to employment.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

     Base Location Shire of Dundas Works Department Office

  • Administration Services
    • First responder to telephone, email and counter enquiries and refer matters other than routine to the appropriate person;
    • Ensure  front counter areas are kept neat and tidy;
    • Assist the Shire Administration with animal control registers, permits, enquiries and record keeping. 
    • Assist the Manager of Works and Services with road permits and road condition updates. 
    • Provide relief support for other Administration staff when necessary;
    • Assist the Manager of Works and Services with WHS reporting, record keeping, and documentation  in accordance with WHS Requirements; and PPE supply.
    • Assist with Works data entry records management.  
  • Ranger Services
    • Support the Shire's Ranger Services team with home visits.
    • Support the Shire's Ranger Services team with animal welfare education programs, initiatives, and community engagement.
