Annual Street Verge & Laneways Rubbish Collection

 

The bulk rubbish collection will commence from Monday 25th November 2024 to Friday 29th November 2024

 

Please ensure that your verge rubbish is secure and is not obstructing passing traffic. Rubbish is not to be placed on the verge before Friday 22nd November 2024.

 

Laneways will also be cleared during this time. Any materials left in the laneway will be removed by the Shire.

 

Streets already cleared will not be revisited.

 

The bulk rubbish collection WILL REMOVE:

  • Garden Waste (Tree and/or shrub pruning’s to 1.5m in length. Lawn clippings & leaves in boxes or bags)
  • Old Furniture
  • Stoves
  • Refrigerators (With their doors removed)
  • Other White Goods
  • General Junk
  • Car Battery
  • Motor Vehicles with fuel tank removed or punctured ($83.45 per vehicle. Pick up by appointment only. Call 90391205 to arrange an inspection)
  • Tyres (Pick up by appointment only. Call 90391205 to arrange an inspection)

To make the collection easier, please follow these simple steps:

  • Separate garden waste from general junk
  • Place rubbish neatly on the street verge directly outside your property
  • Rubbish is not to be left on non-residential verges across the road from your property eg: adjacent to parks
  • Trim tree branches/pruning’s to a maximum length of 1.5m. Larger branches will not be removed.
  • Items should be of a maximum weight that is easily handled by 2 persons
  • Place lawn clippings, cuttings & leaves into boxes or bags
  • Keep rubbish clear of your sprinkler system and do not obstruct the footpath

The bulk rubbish collection WILL NOT REMOVE:

  • Building Waste (Sand, rubble, timber, tiles etc)
  • Large tree trunks or stumps
  • Inflammable liquids (Paints, oils etc)
  • Asbestos
  • Cement Products
  • Branches over 1.5m in length
